ROSEBUSH PRUNING is a dark, satirical film about a wealthy American family living a life of luxury, desire, and internal tensions under the Catalan sun. Behind their perfect facade lies a family in which love, jealousy, and frustrations increasingly clash.

When Jack decides to move in with his girlfriend and Ed discovers what really happened to his mother, the family’s relationships slowly begin to unravel. Old tensions resurface, and family bonds are put to the test.

Director Karim Aïnouz portrays the darker sides of family life with plenty of dark humor and an absurd sense of drama. The film shows how quickly the facade of a perfect and respectable family can crumble when emotions and instincts take over.
