All ProgrammeKai Hazelwood – Shedding Playground: Reptile Time
Workshop hosted by Collective Affinity

‘Shedding Playground: Reptile Time’ is a workshop facilitated by Kai Hazelwood, an artist, artistic researcher, and embodied healing practitioner. It is a space for D/disabled and chronically ill community to slow down and slither together 🐍
This playground is inspired by snakes and creatures who shed their skin, our ‘Snakecestors.’ We’ll embody their slowness, exploring movement that is both big and minuscule. We’ll experiment with the millennia spanning slowness of snakes, and see how it impacts our movement habits. In other words: How do we move when there’s time enough for all of us and everything?
Together we’ll practice resting, doing less and feeling more. We call it a playground to remind us to lower the stakes, to play rather than try to control, and to remind us that this is play, you cannot fail.
This is a space for body-based artists, dancers, movement and somatic practitioners, theater artists, and any body that wants to move. No experience other than your own is required.
