For the finissage of Century Bingo, Bassem Saad’s solo exhibition at NW, we invite Bassem Saad and Fallon Mayanja to read from their own work.

Besides a visual practice, Saad also has an extensive writing practice. She writes essays, reviews, prose and poetry. Fallon Mayanja is a composer, visual artist and performer. Their work centres on creating ‘listening environments’: a broad approach to listening that encompasses the porosity of touch, the tactility of sound and the elusiveness of sight. By mobilising these aspects, Fallon explores diverse relationships with our environment, as well as social, interrelational and self-reflective ideas.

Together, Saad and Mayanja read from their own texts, in many cases unpublished material.
