'Anxious Ornament', performance with ssaliva (François Boulanger) and Cantate Domino Aalst
On Saturday, November 30, from 2 to 4pm, Antonia Brown presents a performance in collaboration with the Cantate Domino choir from Aalst, created together with ssaliva (François Boulanger), a composer and audiovisual artist from Liège.
The internationally respected Cantate Domino choir is made up of current and former students of St. Maarteninstituut since 1960. The choir performs a repertoire composed especially for this performance by ssaliva (François Boulanger).
This performance is part of Heavy Air, a duo exhibition that brings together the practices of Antonia Brown and Tom Hallet. Together they explore themes such as the cosmic, nature, mythology, and medieval symbolism. Topics such as (queer) embodiment, physicality, gossip, oral traditions, and magical thinking are also given a place within their practice.
