As part of RendezVous – Brussels Art Week, the annual citywide event bringing together galleries, art institutions, artist-run spaces, and independent initiatives across Brussels, NW presents an extra-muros event connected to the current exhibitions. On Saturday, September 12, NW and Futura Resistenza will host One And Many Flutes, a performance by Hannah Todt.

Hannah Todts work revolves around a flute-like installation made of steel tubes, activated through mouthpieces distributed along the structure. Fragmented tones are woven into a sonic tapestry, embodying the intimate connection between breath, sound, and gesture. The installation functions as a modular composition, revealing its structure of airflow and tonal modules as well as the fluid transitions between instrument and orchestra, note and melody, individual and collective.

BIO

Hannah Todt is a visual artist and musician. Through sound, performance, and sculpture, she reflects on the relationships between human and non-human bodies, as well as on the social conditions of knowledge production. Her practice is deeply informed by collaborative methods grounded in listening and exchange, and by an attentiveness to subtle shifts in function that both reveal information and refer to the validity and mutability of meaning.In addition to original scores for performance and dance, Hannah is a member of the post-punk band Autor and the artist collective conte potuto. In 2025, she released her solo debut album, One And Many Flutes, on Ultra Eczema (BE). Recent awards include a project grant, the start scholarship for music and a residency grant from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Culture (2025–2026), the Theodor Körner Prize (AT, 2025) and artist residencies at MORPHO (BE, 2025), Q-o2 (BE, 2025) and Est-Nord-Est (CA, 2024).
