In recent years, Dora García has been studying a great amount of historical letters, written by remarkable women to their lovers, their comrades, their political allies or their enemies, or to themselves in the form of a diary. In all of them there is a moment of deep disappointment, of disenchantment, the depth of the sorrow in direct proportion to the enthusiasm that their amorous or political engagement had awakened in them.

The performance Letters of Disappointment takes place in the exhibition If I Could Wish for Something and is organised by Fotogalleriet (Oslo) and Netwerk Aalst.
