BREEDBEELD presents: Blueprints

Photography exhibition

The exhibition BREEDBEELD Blueprints is the result of a collaborative journey nine photographers took together. Under the guidance of photographer Vincen Beeckman, they spent the past year developing a new photographic project.

Eveline Smolders explores the blurring boundary between mother and child, body and identity. Herlinde Raeman and Lobna Morsi construct an intimate, layered portrait of connection and feminist heritage. Kenneth Slabbaert moves tenderly between past and future, fatherhood and childhood. Kristin Van Hoyweghen is a silent witness on a care farm, where fragile encounters find a safe space. Mara Peeters wanted to be a marine biologist, but became a photographer. Maurice Staels seeks words in images and gradually discovers himself. Naïma El Kadi focuses her lens on forgotten landfills, where nature and pollution merge into charged landscapes. Pieter Geens documents life in a refugee camp, gentle and confrontational at the same time. And Sabine Žic enters the dialogue with an archive full of memories, between loss and light.
