Left-Handed Girl follows young I-Jing, who moves to Taipei with her mother Shu-Fen and sister. Filmed entirely with iPhones and with an eye for detail, Shih-Ching Tsou (The Florida ProjectT) immerses us in a colourful, vibrant Taipei, where personal and universal taboos converge. This intimate story about three generations of women focuses on family ties, growing up and the struggle against old customs. A warm, visually playful and deeply human portrait that shows how past and present come together in the search for freedom and self-development.
