On May 25th, 2011, the Ballet de l’Opéra national de Paris presented Rain, marking the first performance of a choreography by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Filmmakers Olivia Rochette and Gerard-Jan Claes documented the rehearsal process from auditions to the opening night. The documentary delves into how De Keersmaeker and the Rosas dancers convey her dance style to classically trained ballet dancers, shifting from the rigidity of ballet to the mathematical patterns of Rain, which hold a powerful emotional depth. The film explores themes of searching, looking, and hesitation within the confines of the opera, occasionally evoking feelings of claustrophobia.

The film is part of Avila, Presents! An initiative by Avila, where attention is paid to films from here in various arts centers and cultural venues.
