Skiff

With Femke Vanhove, Lina Miftah, Natali Broods
Belgium – 2025 – DCP – 106′

The film starts at 8 p.m.

SKIFF follows fifteen-year-old Malou, who grows up in a small town where she excels at the local rowing club. On the water, she seems to be in control, but off the water, she often feels alone: her mother is absent, and she remains an outsider within the team. Only with her older brother Max can she be herself without restraint.

When Malou develops feelings for Max’s girlfriend Nouria, everything shifts. What begins as a quiet infatuation grows into a tense love triangle in which loyalty, rivalry and desire intertwine. In a sizzling summer full of competition and emotional confrontations, Malou is forced to take sides — not only between others, but also for herself.

SKIFF is an intimate coming-of-age story about first love, family ties and the courage it takes to embrace your own identity, even if it means putting something precious at stake.
