In Wild Strawberries, the elderly professor Isak Borg travels to Lund to receive an honorary doctorate. During the car journey, he is confronted with memories, dreams and missed opportunities from his life. What begins as a simple journey unfolds into a melancholic and at times surprisingly light-hearted reflection on ageing, love and the opportunity to re-examine oneself. One of Bergman’s most moving films, in which the past and present constantly merge.
