Dendy Sundays

Children's film and brunch

Every last Sunday of the month, NW hosts a children’s film followed by a brunch edition of Kitchen Stories. Prepared collectively in and around the kitchen of NW, the brunch brings together artists, volunteers, and local organisations. What is offered is simple but deliberate: a shared meal that supports the continuation of the programme while foregrounding the labour and conditions that make such gatherings possible.

Kitchen Stories treats cooking and eating as social and political acts. It creates a space where different voices, practices, and forms of knowledge can come into contact—around the stove, at the table, and in conversation. Rather than a fixed format, it remains responsive to those who take part, opening up questions of access, hospitality, and collective responsibility.

Practical information
Following the screening, brunch is served in Lokaal Dendy. Visitors are invited to stay, eat, and spend time together at their own pace. From 13:00 onwards, the exhibitions at NW are open to visit.
