For months now, Tyfus’s Patronising Exercises in Reasoning has been telling visitors what to read and what to eat. Choices are imposed and the only sensible response is to go along with it. On Saturday, 17 October, NW marks the end of its current exhibitions with one last edition of No Choice Restaurant, a live performance of the 106 daily texts by Soetkin Elbers, and a set by DJ Grazzhoppa. The exhibitions will be open and a selection of Ultra Eczema vinyl is on sale in the NW bookshop. Attendance is advised.

18:00: No Choice Restaurant

Dinner is not up for discussion. Developed with Kitchen Stories and NW’s team, the restaurant takes Tyfus’s logic of imposed choice literally and treats constraint as an artistic condition. Places are limited, so reserve your dinner in advance. €14 per person. Reserve here.

20:00: Soetkin Elbers

For 106 days, Tyfus ran a daily text work in the regional edition of Het Laatste Nieuws, each instalment adding a page to the show. Soetkin Elbers sings  all 106. Live and in full.

21:00: DJ Grazzhoppa

Tyfus’s label Ultra Eczema now counts around 250 records, books and artists’ editions, running from noise to outsider music to experimental publishing. Ghent-based DJ Grazzhoppa mines it for a live set.
